Aqua Pod 12 gallon Recall???

I saw this link that talks about the Current Aqua Pod 12 gallon recall. Is this real? Has anyone run into these problems?

What do I need to do?

I am going to be really mad if I have to send this aquarium in. I have just spent the 3 weeks letting it cycle and I am about ready for the cleaning crew.

Did you buy yours between December 2005 through January 2006? You may have a newer one that doesnt have this problem. Otherwise, they should send you a new one first, then have you send yours in.

the recall says that if there is a little white sticker with the date on it under the hood then it is exempt from the recall, but mine doesn't have the sticker.

I will have to call the recall center on Monday to find out what is going on.

I will keep you posted.

I called Current today and they said mine is their newer version with the Y-type powerhead, so it is not in the recall.

That makes me feel a little bit better, but I am really thinking about upgrading to the 24 gallon Nano Cube.

Aquapod

I have a newer Aquapod and it doesn't have a date on it. I'm very happy with this Nano!!!
