Well, if theres a will, theres a way.

But from what i heard from my friend that sells zoas and stuff, he says that PC actinics look better than t5 actinics.

Just an opinion

Im sure it is possible but would take some work. You would also void the warranty. Why not build a canopy and install a 150 watt MH retro with 2x24 watt T5HO supplementation? You could do this for about $285 plus cost of wood for canopy. That Outer orbit is good but costs $365 on marinedepot.com.

150 watt MH retro= $175: http://www.illuming.com/catalog/product ... cts_id=284

2x24 watt T5HO retro= $69.99: http://cgi.ebay.com/T5-2-X-24-W-RETRO-K ... dZViewItem

(1)24 watt T5HO ATI Blue Plus lamp= $18.95: http://www.reefgeek.com/products/catego ... 04962.html

(1)24 watt T5HO UVL Super Actinic= $21.99: http://www.reefgeek.com/products/catego ... 04950.html

I have personally dealt with all the above mentioned companies and had great experiences with the all.

Thaks everyone!

That's interesting about the look of the T5 vs PC Actinic??

I hear what your saying about just DYI it but I can get a sweet deal on the Current USA fixture so just really wondered whether it best to go all out for the T5's or just go whith the PC's

IMO and IME the T5's are much brighter and I prefer the Blue Plus/Super Actinic combo to any PC actinic I have ever had.... I have seen the MH/PC in action though and I dont think you will be disappointed.
