Animals for Pico reef's

There really arent any suitable for those size tanks tho I house a hermit and a snail that is all the bio load they can handle :mrgreen:

That really depends on just how pico you go. With the extremely small tanks IMO there aren't any suitable animals with the possible exception of a tiny snail. If you go to the over 1 gallon range you could then go with a snail or two, a hermit or porcelin crab, or maybe a sexy shrimp. There are no suitable fish for a pico IMO and there are some hermits and snails that should be avoided. Only the smallest inverts may be suitable. The idea of a pico is to see how small of a tank you can keep corals in successfully, cleaning is usually done manually without the assistance of a cleaning crew. If you want to add them for movement or interest then do the animal a favor and set a larger tank up.

maybe a goby... like greenbanded goby only 1-2 inches or redhead even neon goby.....all the ones that are really small probably but i think is not appropriate ...but will be cool just with corals and a sexy....

i seen a panda goby at my LFS that was like an 1/8inch.....it was wild. almost bought it, but then realized it would be gone as soon as i droppped it in :cry:

yeah i was tempted too once and twice cause they are so cute but after research mmm second thoughts.... like he will munch( bad spelling) your zoo's and can be eaten by some corals cause of their tiny size i so one been eaten by a sun coral was really creapy..... and also they need a kind of hard coral to do fine but i dont remember what kind....
