Do all anemones move? I saw a small "Sebae Anemone" and was thinking of purchasing it but didnt know if it moves around or not. If it does move around, forget it.

not a 100% sure but i think they all move. i know my GBTA move all over the place. never had a problem with them and other corals.they are both going back to my LFS cause they are out growing my tank.

Yes they most if not all will move if they dont like where you put them they will move to some
where they feel is better when we had ours and upgraded the lights it moved away from the lights

Yep, they'll all move. Sebaes are more sensitive than BTAs. I wouldn't try ANY anemones until you're tank has been up for at least six months. This gives the tank time to mature/stabilize, and you plenty of time to research anemones requirements.

Thanks guys and girl :D .....the only reason I did want the sebae was because it was cheap....though i had doubts due to the fact that they moved. Thanks for clearing my mind. What a relief. Thanks again.

i dont really see wats wrong with movment, i think its kinda kool!
Because you don't want your $16 anemone moving around the tank stinging and killiing $300 worth of coral, or wandering into the intake for your PH, and getting chewed up and causing an ammonia spike.

Yup, that is what happened to my RBTA. He and the powerhead had a fight and you know who won  . My corals did fine but it sure was cloudy in the tank for awhile.

Prob. won't try one of those again.

Totally avoidable if you have space to put a sponge over the intake...But most nanos don't really have enough room for that.
