all actinic no 10k pc tank

if i ran 2x65w pc actinics/ no daylight just actinic, could my 5 1/2g mushrooms and feather dusters tank have success or does my tank need that 10k pc. Anybody?

They would probably be fine if you were just keeping mushrooms and feather dusters. Feather dusteres would benefit more from feedings anyways. Just curious though, what's your reason for doing so or considering to do so?

i love the blue look and also i noticed if i run both of my pc's (2x65w) my tank temp starts to rise. if i run just one then the tank is fine. i ran one 65w pc actinic and i liked the look. i may try to run one 65w actinic and one 36w daylight to see what happens.

Why not have the actinic turn on to acclimate the corals then turn the daylights on as the actinics turn off. Then when the daylight turns off the actinics turn on once they acclimating them to the lights completly turning off.

So actinics on 2hours prior, 30minutes of actinic/daylight, 3hours of daylight only, 30 minutes of acitnic/daylight, then 2 hours of actinic only. Then completly off.

I guess I'm trying to go for a natural affect? I've done this and it worke pretty good. Hope you understand by opinion?
