Advantages of 24 gallon to 12 gallon? (other than just size)

I currently have the 12 gallon Aqua Pod by Current. I am looking at upgrading to the 24 gallon Nano Cube.

Are the 24 gallon easier to maintain? What are the advantages/disadvantages of the Nano Cube to Aqua Pod? How many more fish can I keep in the 24 gallon?

Thanks for the help.

i have a 12 and a 24. You can d so much more than a 12 witha 24......however, more money and more work. Less worry if there is a problem in there because there is more water and more space. I like my 12 becasue it is really easy to run. My 24 has so much more in it though. Corals and fish. i have modified my 24 a little and added a few more lights to it. I dont like the lid as much as the 12 because it is bigger and is harder to handle as it doesnt have the same kick stand as the 12. The pump has a little more kick in the 24 than the 12, but that can be changed. I have found that my 12 g has a tendency to vent out more water and i have to top it up more. I dont know why. They both have the same number of fans, but i bet that it has to do with water surface area and something simple like that. If you are just starting out and want to learn, start with a 12. Im glad i did. It was cheaper. Eventually i bought a bigger tank to get more happening. I think there will be a much bigger tank eventually, but gotta save some money first.
I hope that helps alittle.

I just want to say that you might find it a little easier to work with a bigger tank. The swings are a lot less in a bigger tank and you will be able to save a bigger tank a lot easier then a smaller one. But Tony is right a smaller tank will be a bit cheaper then a big one to start up, and there might be a small increase in salt use but other then that you should'int have any other expense. I have a NC24 at the moment and most people that have them dont mod them at all and just let them run the way they are. It will limit your choice of some corals, but if your just starting out you might want to stay away from the pricey ones.

As for fish you will not be able to keep any more then 4 at most. And at that you will be limited to ones that stay small.

Hello all I am new to this forum....But on Friday I am getting my first salt water tank.I am going to purchase the 24 gallon nano cube. I was wondering just about how many fish I can keep comfortably in the cube along with decoration of course.
