I posted this over at CF and RC so I thought I'd share with you guys too.
I picked up a couple of new critters to put in the cube. This little true perc caught my eye while I was at the Marine Scene over the weekend, and when I went back today to pick up an item I had forgotten it was still there, so I bought her.
Cool spots on either side of her body. More than likely, they'll fill in as she gets older, but I thought it was pretty unique looking. I'm hoping she finds the small xenia colony and takes to that. My bicolor blenny nipped at her a few times, then quickly lost interest and my neon goby tagged along near her for a while checking for parasites, but didn't find any. The watchman goby peered out of his cave to check out the newcomer and my royal gramma, who I expected trouble from, swam out of the rockwork to check it out, them swam behind the rocks again. She seems to be settling in nicely.
I also picked up a mithrax crab to take care of a bit of bubble algae for me. I dropped her in the spot near the rock that is sprouting it and it floated down and started in on the rock. Cool!
For some reason, I can't seem to keep a mithrax crab alive for more than a couple months, so we'll see how this one does.
