Hi Guys,

Now that the weather is getting hotter in Calgary my 2.5G Nano is heating up during the day to about 83. It is under 80 at night. I was thinking of getting a heatsinks with fans on them from a PC store. Has anyone had heat problems on a small tank? What is the best way to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Eric

I second the fan . Wal-mart has some great little turbo fans out by lakewood they are metal and come in an array of colors that is what we use for our 2 little 2.5 tanks

Hi Guys,

I went to Walmart and they were all out. I am going to buy a few pc fan this weekend and set something up. The tank temp is all over the place from 78-83.5. I might have to move it to a bigger room. I an not having any problems with 30G it is always 79-80. I guess a small tank is harder to keep the temp down.

Thanks,

Eric

Hi guys,

Just one question sould I move my coral to my bigger tank for now while I fix this problem? I just have shroom's and zoo's are they able to make it thru a few heat spikes of 83.5?

I only have 4.6 watts per G on my 30 is that enoght light for shroom's and zoo's if I was to move them there untill my tank is not overheating anymore?

Thanks guys for all your help,

Eric

I think you should be ok ....for a day or 2 . If you have a fan laying around you could use that as a bridge till you find what you are looking for .
