I find the floating hydrometer easier to us than the Instant Ocean and more accurate. Try the instant ocean but if it doesn't work for you the floating kind might help.

Thanks KidNano. Positioned return to interrupt the surface of the water. Some particulate matter and bubbles in water. I will let you know how it goes. Should I get a skimmer or additional powerhead.
