My aquapod 12g has this as well, I think it is to catch water drippage? I first freaked out when I filled it up because I saw water at the bottom of the tank but when i cleaned it up I noticed the tiny space... very weird.

Actually switched the biocube to a 12g Aquapod The aquapod is too big to fit on the left or right Still cycling but I have a damsel in it now

Filled up the biocube today to start its cycle. Its currently on the right hand side for setup but I think eventually I will move it under the monitors, luckily I have a steady supply of monitors and they are all under warranty so if the evaporation ruins them will get them replaced...
