    What are your phosphates and nitrates like? To combat it you could hook up a small fuge with some macro algea or buy some snails. How long has your tank been set up if it is only new and is going through the cycle then the brown algea (diamtoms is my best guess) should clear up as the cylce...

    I just thaught that because i have never owned a cleaner shrimp and i got no idea how to tell the difference between the real thing and the molt. Maby something has gotten into the tank that shouldnt be there (a spray of some sort) Josh

    Well i had and open top and now i have a glass cover personely i would go for glass top i think that is doesnt really block light out at all and the evap rate is alot less Josh
