I just ordered the 3.24 larnie hood mod for my 12g Nano DX from nanocustoms.com. It's 92 watts w/ 2 24w 50/50. 24w actinic, 2 t5 10w actinic and a r2 solutions moon light. The stock hood only has 2 24w 50/50's for a total of 48 watts. I am very new at this and my tank is still cycling. I wanted...

Anyone have any input as to the 3.24 hood upgrade for the 12g nano DX? Looks nice and I'm thinking of upgrading even before my tank is totally cycled. Is this a good upgrade to do even before I even stock my tank or should I just leave it stock?

The other night I was just looking around and saw 2 feeler type things poking out of a crevas in th LR. Thats all I could see as whatever it was, it was staying back in the hole. I kept watching him move around never seeing more then these 2 feelers poking out. All of the sudden a thin green...

I have been told that the attached pics might me aptasia. However, of all the aptasia I've seen what I have does not look like it. It's base is much wider and the "tenacles" are not nearly as long. Its only about 1/4 high. Any help on this ID would be appreciated...
