    I'm back.

Thanks for all the encouraging words folks. (And the generous offer Brian) It means a lot to me. It's really wonderful how many great people are on this board. B

    skimmer help

I had the aquac urchin pro. Excellent skimmer. Of these two, I'd go with the remora. B

    I'm back.

We'd been together for 6yrs when we got married. She was diagnosed six months later. We've been married for three and a half years now. No kids. Don't want any in the next few years. B

    I'm back.

My wife was 29 when she was diagnosed. We didn't, (and still don't), have insurance. 3 rounds of chemo, 2 lumpectomies, 1 round of radiation and the cancer is gone. She's been clear now for about a year and a half. The ongoing stuff has to do with the way the chemo messed up her hormones...

    I'm back.

The main thing that has kept me from being on here lately is work is REALLY busy right now, so I just haven't had time to get on the boards I frequent much. Ongoing medical bills related to my wife's breast cancer ordeal have led me to the decision that it was time to seriously downsize...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

 Every tank I've had has been very overcrowded according to most people's opinions. But I've kept to smaller fish, and researched them thoroughly to make sure that they'll get along. Even doing that I've made mistakes just like everyone else. I agree that fish really make a tank...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

Mike, How many fish do you have in that tank? Just from the pics I can count 15, and 5 are tangs. I'm known for overstocking my tanks, and that seems like a lot to me. It does look gorgeous and healthy though. Hopfully you're overfiltered enough that everything will remain stable long...

    I'm back.

Hey everyone. I'm back. Sort of. Due to money issues I've downsized quite a bit. It's been a difficult few weeks. On the bright side, there's room for my massage table in the living room now. Living room before. Living room now.

New to forum --> help setting up 1st nano

All of your choices are good except the catalina goby. They're cold-water fish, and unless you plan on chilling the tank down to about 60 degrees they're not gonna last long. Knowing that they were cold water I tried them in my reef when I kept it about 72, and they lasted about 4-5 months...

Just thought that I would share...

 Wow....that's one of the most beautiful one's I've seen. Hopefully it'll do well. Unfortunately most gorgonians just don't fare very well. Even knowing that I'd be tempted if I saw one that night in the LFS. B

MY 12G NANO DX IS DRIVING ME CRAZY ! LOOK AT THIS

I think the 1-3lbs per gallon rule absolutely applies to nanos, however I think it's much easier to aquascape them if you use several small pieces, instead of a few big ones. A hammer will fix this pretty easily. On my tanks I generally try to give myself room on the edges and the front to...

    My 2.5g Pico

I've never glued any of the rocks together in any of my tanks. As long as they're balanced well, it should be fine. B

    damsel id

The problem with trying to identify a damsel is that there are a lot of different types, and many of them change their color and patterning completely between juvenile and adult. Unless a species is VERY popular/common in the hobby the LFS often don't have them labled correctly. I've bought...

    to many pods?

I don't think you can have too many pods. You might be able to get away with you're mandarin/podtank plan if you can readily restock your supply of pods. B

    got a new shrimp

They're fine with cleaners, but they're very shy but beautiful. I want to get a pair for the 75, but keep finding other things to spend the $50-$60 on, cause I know I'll see them more. B

I got an Organ Pipe coral... LFS said it was Clove Polyp

How long have you had it Steven? It would certainly be interesting. The funny thing is there are corals that seem difficult, then suddenly nobody has a problem keeping them, then there are others, like elegance, that used to be known as a good beginner coral because they were so hardy...
