Pic of the week --- Fish

Brian, nice pictures,,, but I have a question. I've heard Gonipora corals, aka flower pots have a high death rate, I've had them in the past,,, and they go in 3 months or less. Especially if a clown is hosting it, it doesn't get to expand... Mike

Electric Blue Hermit Crab (dead or alive??)

Mine was only 8 dollars, Incysor and my LFS has them. If you like, I will puchase a nice one for you and send it to Houston, the cost would be very negligible. I could first take pics of it at the LFS, if you want it bam,,,, I'll send it... Same for you Dragon, but I think your LFS has...

Electric Blue Hermit Crab (dead or alive??)

I'm happy you guys got a laugh or a smirk from my odd sense of humor. Sometimes it's okay to be off topic, okay so maybe molting as a human wasn't that funny... Not as funny as when my CBS finally trapped my cleaner shrimp in a corner and was about to strike and instead lounged over to the...

Electric Blue Hermit Crab (dead or alive??)

Hey Brian, Wouldn' it be cool if we could molt, leave it at the house next to all the yard work that has to be done, sneak away to your LFS spend hours there just shooting the breeze, come back with 1 small purchase, sneak it into the tank and then discard the molt and say wow all this yard...

    Acclimation - fish vs. inverts

I've read about the drip line, and think it is very time consuming but it's the best practice for stress free environment. I would like to event some way to float a bag in some type of plastic floating device that can allow aquarium water to enter with the bag but bag water not to escape the...

    Clown Goby

Talking about clown gobies, mine has finally started to feed off of brine shrimp, flakes and mysis shrimp. For the longest time I had a problem that he simply wouldn't eat. I watched him for weeks always chubby put never eating. Finally found out he ran out of copepods to eat and was forced...

Nano pics update (12.19.04) *nice pics*

Dragon, What I'm thinking is that once you remove him from the rock, he is very slipery. And even glue under his foot won't stick. So what might work is what he is suggesting. You place him in a cup of aquarium water and then flip the cup upside down and let him fall to the bottom of...

    # of crabs/snails

I have 2 red hermit crabs; they work heavier with any type of algae growth. Then I have 5 blue leg hermits that are really small, smaller than the reds; they sift a lot on the sand. Then I have 5 narcissus sails. And two baby brittle stars, they came with the live rock.... Mike

Electric Blue Hermit Crab (dead or alive??)

Very bizarre, I don't know if they shed? Could it be that another hermit took his shell? I'll have to ask some reefers because I thought only shrimp molt. Mike

Nano pics update (12.19.04) *nice pics*

You might want to ask Incysor about if they are moveable by hand. I have had mushrooms fall off their rocks and then use the sand bed as an anchor, so it might be possible. As for Jar jar, maybe he knew you were going to take pictures and said hell no, I'm not about having my picture...
