    Nothing to do with fish

Dude, That was hilarious, first with phishcy then with your dragon. Kinda makes me think how well phishcy would do on the trial run. I'm willing to bet that language is not French but sounds more German. Mike

Dragon and Sugar, LFS sell a kit under 10 dollars that trap bristle worms overnight. It looks like a capsule that has holes where they crawl in response to a mysis shrimp you place in the capsule. I have seen LFS pull out some really big suckers. Magnolia, that would really help you out...

    From LPS to SPS....

Thanks B, It's going to be very challanging. But I want to take that challange. I will hopefully not make too many mistakes since I have all of you guys as support. :D I feel as a reefer of a nano cube, I went too big with my LPS. Had I thought it over, I'd do it like Dragon is...

    From LPS to SPS....

Thanks for the insight Brian. Have you seen the extra rio 90 I placed in the chamber 1 of my cube? It opposes the current from the other side and creates awesome current at the bottom. In fact, my sand bed has created craters from the blast of more current. My only concern is perfect...

    From LPS to SPS....

I'm taking the plunge to cross over to SPS. After giving it a lot of thought and talking to my LFS I decided. Monitpora the dark green and the light blue ones caught my eye. My tank being that it's really small will be able to cater to a really full reef. As you can place them so close...

    Star polyps not opening...

Hey guys, I lost my xenias and I have removed them completely from the tank, as to avoid more ammonia. But I have noticed that my star polyps have not opened up since all this started. It's been 3 days, can anyone shed some light, are these going to die too? Frogspawn doing good, plate...

Will they make it or die???

I have to second Magnolia's response. I have heard exactly word for word what she wrote. And I have seen them spread like weeds on my rocks. They do not have a sting against other corals as they retract when they would reach the vicinity of other corals like the plate or elegance. But...

Will they make it or die???

I thought they feed of filtrating the water, the pulsating. Anyway, the lights are back on to normal rotation so I'll check there progress because the lights had been off during the last 2 days. Mike

A flaw in my setup, but...

Glad my idea worked Dragon. Hopefully you can get the tube cut to fit in there the way it is suppose to. MIKE

Will they make it or die???

Thanks for the hope DJ, I needed to hear that. I have seen my xenias shrink and do funny things in the past and then all of a sudden they are back pulsating stronger than ever. Just in this case, I slammed them with a mini cycle sorry xenia :( but we will see if the pull through. Mike

Will they make it or die???

Hey reefers, As most of you know my tank is in a mini cycle with levels of ammonia and nitrite. I have brought them down considerable since my first post on Ammonia being 1.25 mg/L and my nitrite at .25 ppm. My fish are eating and not breathing heavy at all, since I added the Bio-spira...

my 60 gallon beware 56k users, big images .

Dude, Your tank is awesome, I love the pictures of you fish. We really don't get a chance to see fish in our tanks, the nanos that is. Dragon you are right, Phishcy should check out this post!!!! Take it or leave it, this tank is really killer... Mike

Love your pics Dragon. Your tank is comming alive. It's so neat how unique everylittle items shows up a tenfold on a small tank. Your xenia look great. Mine are still wilted from the blast of Ammonia and Nitrite that hit my tank, I hope they pull through. Mike

    Planned my set up....any comments?

Hey Rich, I bet the only reason you had the background painting was to get an idea what your tank would look like with those lights. When you get your original rock, it will be time to take it down. Sort of like when you crash your car and you borrow a rental. It might be a ugly rental...

    Camera

Opps, I didn't read the part about the limit being 200 bucks. If that's the case my camera the canon S500 is also out. But I needed it to be known that if macro is your cup of tea, no camera I've seen is better at Macro pics than Incysors. Just my opinion. Mike

How did you hear about this site?

Dragon 79 also my little brother told me of the site. He liked it better than nano-reef because it wasn't as chaotic in the sense he doesn't get lost. You stay more informed like a small private university rather than a large public university. Mike
