What a week, what a thanksgiving...

Final Cameron Update I keep getting PMs and emails from many of you who are wanting an update. Sorry I don’t have more time to spend responding to your messages, but here I am. Additionally, this will likely be my last update here, as this thread really is a bit off-topic for the forum, and...

    My Propagation Plan...

So, I recently started up a 58 gallon prop system. No, there are things about it that are not optimal, but much of the parts were free, and I thought it would give me some good experience doing something along these lines before I had to commit to something larger and more expensive. Small...

    Reef safe crab???

Well I finally captured my mystery crab, which now resides in the fuge of my prop tank. At least until I can determine what he is. I no longer think this guy is a gorilla crab. I think he may be in the mithrax family, just because it has SO MANY SIMILARITIES to my Emerald Crabs. I would...

How to achieve ph of ~8.3

Sympley... Buy a bucket and mix your saltwater prior to putting it in the tank. Get 1 and 1/2 measuring cups and just keep them in your salt bucket. When you mix your water, use an extra power head. Drop the salt into your RO/DI water, let the power head do the mixing for you, overnight works...

What a week, what a thanksgiving...

What a week, what a thanksgiving...

Hi everyone. Wow, what a long, freaky week it has been, it is amazing how fast your life can change. One minute I'm working of a great night of drinks and dinner with friends, and the next minute, I'm stuffing my wife in a helicopter for critical care in Spokane, WA after her water unexpectedly...

A prop tank? Am I crazy?

What can I say? I did the reading, a friend offered me a great deal, and I am using a MH pendant for this project as well. Here's my sketch... Skip, you still alive out there???

A prop tank? Am I crazy?

Did you buy the fixture yet? I am not going to use a MH lamp for a few reasons. Here's my logic... A friend in our local aquarium club is using T5 bulbs instead of MH. As a result, he spends less on power, doesn't have to worry about cooling his tank, invested way less in his equipment...

I saw that article after I posted, Ed. Definitely not the first one. It's only about 1/8" long but shell is the same color as coral sand.
