    Non-reef nano setup...

I use the live sand just cause I think that it has a more natural feel to it ....the one thing to watch for is if you get "regular" it is hard to sink and can clog up power heads and filters quite easy ...you also want to make sure they arent silicates based either as this can cloud the water...

    Non-reef nano setup...

Yes you will still get a cycle so you are a few weeks out from a fish just yet . It is a good idea as mentioned to use lr to help cycle the tank and to also filter the tank ......... I also failed to say that when you rinse you filter sponge do so in old tank water after a water change I rinse...

    Non-reef nano setup...

I would recommend in that size tank about 1 gallon or so a week for the change be sure to rinse your filter pads at least weekly . For the light I would recommend a small screw in type pc light for your tank....nicer color in my opinion like these http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/P ...

The lighting would be good for lower light corals shrooms some zoas the sun coral and the open brain all sound good ....the frog spawn should be ok if you suppliment its feedings with cyclop-eeze or the like...... Frogspawns can pack a powerful sting however their sweepers are not likely to go...

They infact do eat parasites from fish if the fish goes to his cleaning station .My clown wants nothing to do with our cleaner but he does ride around on the sea horses back ....I do believe that if your fish does in fact have ich then a cleaner shrimp is definatly a way to go....you can also...

added light now one coral not opening

see your post in 911 section Corals take time to adjust to any changes in lighting especially when you go from a weaker source to a stronger source of light no worries here , give it time .Another thing to cosider is to adapt and adjust times that they are exposed to the light , this...
