I tend to agree with the above but would recommend a largish 50% water change and run an air stone (which is recommended with the the treatment of chemi clean) Then continue with some smaller changes 5% or so for the next few days when running chemi -clean keep the filter on and the filter...

How long have you been cycling ? your readings are good for you to start adding your basics now try to bump that ph up to 8.2-8.4 should be good .... I would recommend changing out the filter pads to new. As for the water change you could do a 20% now or add something if you wish and once you...

Update on the Bubble Gum Pico as for right now the Bubble Gum Pico is no more I have a ton of other things to deal with right now and that is not one of em I hope to reestablish it later down the road but for now I have many things on my plate that take presidence to the pico I have still...

I had that stuff it grows fairly quickly hard to irridicate it compleatly but not a harmful algae persay I will try to find a link of what it is called :mrgreen:

we use HOBs on both the 2.5 and the 7gmb and have found that while a fuge gives a place to extend volume and growth for macros ect as well addtional water volume we have the "largest" HOB that our tanks will accomadate ....the HOB filter on the 7 gmb gives me an addtional 1/2 gallon water...

the first pics not the best but it looks like you have some hair algae , both red and green usually caused by high nutrients in the water .....do a partial change add some turbo snails and reduce lighting as well as increase flow you may need/want to manually remove some of the algae by tweezer...

Leaky I have done full removals of sand beds in mine , while it is not recommended here is how I do it .....Get a tote bin to drain your water into to use a bit later power heads work well with tubing to pump it out you will have aprox 1 inch left in the bottom of the tank dont worry about that...
