Midnight720 5Gal Tank (It All Bein Now)

You can put the cheato in your filter now if you want. Let the tank cycle then you can start with water changes.

Feather duster or vermitid snail I think not sure which part exactly you are referring too.

If you have the water output from your HOB go into the tank then the evap will happen in the overflow.

I have an aquahub.com setup. I am currently transfering things from my 90 gallon to my 28 gallon so I don't have it hooked up yet. But when I have mine back in the tank I can snap a photo for you.

Lace Rock a Good Base Rock?

Cheapest I've seen at a LFS is 5.99 a pound for decent sized pieces and 3.00 a pound for rubble.

Sand and live rock (Fiji, Florida, The Moon) I dunno :(

Great info. I do use the fiji pink live sand as I am lazy. The dry stuff is cheaper, and true all you need is a tiny bit of "live" sand to quickly turn dry "dead" sand live quickly. BUT, dry sand usually creates one heck of a sand storm in the tank and can take FOREVER to clear out. For the...

I don't believe Aquahub sells the kit I have anymore. My kit had me take a grounded extension cord and tap into that via a 9v battery operated switch. I don't have anything but the powerhead plugged in. The only downside is if my top off reservoir empties then the pump and the batter may go...

Nice shots, well corals *can* close up due to the move from one tank to the next. Did you do anything to acclimate the coral? (Float it in a bag to match temperatures and slowly add in small amounts of tank water to the bag to help the coral adjust?)

    Clean up crews in picos

I like zebra leg hermit crabs (good looking and eat all left over food quick), but snails are better for glass and sand (nassarius snails).

Nice modification. What light do you plan on using for the fuge?

    Finally put my tank together...

Good sound advice. In my 90 gallon with T5 lights I didn't have any real issue with my anemone, but during my downsize to a 28 with MH I took my anemone back to the LFS. Keep at it and enjoy what you have right now. You saw Trents pictures, it just takes time and steady care.

Midnight720 5Gal Tank (It All Bein Now)

Looks like a good start! Nice and easy on the start to let the tank *mature*. Keep an eye on temperatures and PH with that glass hood in place.

I don't have any experience with those LEDs. I am sorry I just assumed that the white area beneath the bulbs had the ballasts in that size tank. do you have any box outside your tank now?
