    Is Xenia dying?

I have seen mine do the same thing once in awhile only to return to normal later. I have to agree that you need to test your tank and post the results, a pic could also help out some.

    Starting A Tank

Sexies and cleaner do different things. The cleaner shrimp can also remove parasites and things off of fish while the sexy remains on the rocks and on some corals. The biggest difference between the red leg hermits and the blue legs or zebra hermits is the latter stay alot smaller, both are...

    Tank Mates - Fighting

You can find a goby for any part of the tank. Watchman and sifting gobies are usually found on the bottom. Clown gobies are usually perching on the rockwork and firefish and court jester gobies can be found anywhere from top to bottom but usually near the mid to upper parts of the tank.

My Reefer Madness Nano Tank Diary

Where they harvest these corals the natives make almost nothing to go out and get them. Most of the costs in the corals we buy comes from shipping and middle men. A good example of cost would be to look at captive bred fish, CB fish actually cost more than their wild caught cousins due to the...

    my 10 gal nano

For cleaners I would start with a dozen mixed snails, a combination of nassarious or cerith for the sandbed and astrea, margarita, trochus, or nerites for the glassand rock. If I decided to add hermits then I would start with either 6 red legged or 12 of the blue leg or dwarf zebra hermits. I...

    Stuff in my Nano Tank

I was thinking the same thing, a snail and spaghetti worm. Spaghetti worms are excellent detritivores and stomatella snails are safe too.

    Dwarf Seahorses

Your right Sadie, they will only accept live food. Baby brine shrimp (BBS) is the right food for these guys, newly hatched is the easiest because they still have their yolksac for nutrition and you can get away with not having to gutload them with supplements and vitamins.

I have to agree, get a surface skimmer. It has nothing to do with algae.

    Tank Mates - Fighting

The six-line needs to go to a larger tank IMO, then he will not be so territorial due to added real estate. If you leave them together the clown may not survive.

    cycling question

Any water changes will prolong your cycle. The only time you may want to do a water change during cycling is if you are cycling with livestock (I highly recommend against this), otherwise no water changes until the cycle has completed.

Mine was pretty light colored so it could be the same stuff. We can't really ID a color just by color.

lgreen's Ultimate Guide To Nano Fish

I think a sticky is in order to. It would be helpful to have other common names and the scientific names for the fish since they are called different names according to your part of the country/world.
