    6 gallon nanocube upgrade

I don't have experience with the upgrade kit for the 6 but Chris' kits are pretty straight forward and not too hard to install.

    Submersible Pumps

The tees are sold under the name loc-line, most fish stores carry it that deal in saltwater tanks and it is relatively easy to find from an on-line vendor as well.

    Anemone Pico Reef 2.5

Sounds like the BTA is happier in the 2.5, maybe getting better light.

    PLEASE HELP WITH MY ANTHELIA!

Do you normally keep your temp at 72? I would raise it to 75-78, most of us run a little higher but thats because we can't keep our temps in the 75-78 range without a chiller. I have seen some of my softies do something like this before only to come back later and they were perfectly normal...

Jump in the Waters Fine - New Reefer

You can make a nice reef out of a 30, I was mainly talking about tanks bigger than a 30 because they are usually deeper and that makes aquascaping harder because either the tank looks empty or you are trying to stack rocks straight up the back wall, with a tank thats at least 18" front to back...

HELP! Fans not working on my Nanocube 24DX

I have heard of occasional fan problems before. Contact either JBJ or where ou bought the cube and see if they will do anything. If not take an electrical tester (set for DC power) and see if there is any power coming into the fans, if there is you could buy a set of the ball bearing fans the...

Jump in the Waters Fine - New Reefer

Go ahead and remove the biowheel but leave the rest of the sponges undisturbed for a few days keeping an eye on your parameters. When all is definitely settled go ahead and clean the sponges at least once as week.

Jump in the Waters Fine - New Reefer

You could probably remove the biowheel but leave the sponge (on the left) alone and keep an eye on parameters. The sponge will also have some bacteria in it to keep from removing too much at once. How much liverock does your tank have in it? What kind of livestock do you have? If your...

I don't know the exact filter you are talking about. If there is a way to remove it a little at a time that is the best way.

Here is a link for the original nanoskim: http://nanotuners.nanocustoms.com/nanot ... cts_id=143 and here is a link to the adjustable model: http://nanotuners.nanocustoms.com/nanot ... cts_id=247 . To frag the large coral you simply cut part of it off with sharp scissors or a razor blade...

Jump in the Waters Fine - New Reefer

You should take them out, you should get all of your biological filtration from your LR. Biowheels and other types of manmade bio filters process waste too fast and the tanks inhabitants don't get a chance to naturally eliminate any of the waste before the filters convert it, thats why its...

    Oh Boy....My Winter project...

I just can't get over the awsome colors in this tank. It seems to get better and brighter with each new update. I love the new YWG, there is a fellow in my reefclub who breeds them along with several species of clowns and a few other fish so small fish like yours are pretty readily available...

    Anemone Pico Reef 2.5

Have you given any more thought to an anenome crab or shrimp? I think this would be the perfect set-up for either one.

    Feeding

I also agree that it is better to feed too little that too much, the fish will find things in the tank to munch on along with your feedings. I also want to point out that a couple of very light feedings is better than one big feeding, alot of the food in a big feeding just ends up in the filter...

Jump in the Waters Fine - New Reefer

Congratulations on your tank and :welcome to nanotank! If you decide to buy a used tank in order to save some money you will have to be able to be sure it has never had copper used in it or it won't be able to be used for corals or inverts. My main recommendation on a larger tank would be to...

    Photo's of my new 24DX

Looks good so far. Take it slow as already mentioned, keep an eye on the caulerpas because they can take over if you don't keep them pruned. The big brown coral in front looks like a colt coral and they too are fast growers and can become dominating, the bright side is they produce tons of...

    Clean-up Crew?

I also agree but want to give you a better reason to loose the conch. Conches need about 2 to 3 square feet of sandbed for each one or else they will starve, I don't think they would live long enough in a nano to grow much and the reason they know so much over is they are starving and trying to...

    Current USA "Fission" Protein Skimmer

I think that they are better than nothing but you can keep good water parameters by using good husbandry on your tank doing partial water changes, cleaning mechanical filtration media, etc. on a timely schedule. If you are pushing the capability of your system to the edge you may need a skimmer...
