    Help!! Water Values?

I have used a buffer before, I liked to dose on the low side and slowly adjust the level up to where I needed it. I haven't used a buffer in a long time though, at least since I started using nothing but RO/DI. If the heater is an old model it may use bimetal contacts that may be sticking...

    Stressed clownfish

Another thing you can do to keep from stressing your new fish as much is to transport them in a cooler, this helps prevent heatloss and is dark to help keep stress levels at a minimum. I have a couple of small coolers I use just for fish and coral transporting.

will I burn the house down?

Is the actual wattage of the bulb 65 or is it equivalent to a 65 watt incandescent bulb? Either way I would at least make some ventilation holes like DJ suggested or retrofit a fan into the hood.

For small clams you have to target feed them with phytoplankton in order for them to get enough food to survive. I wish I knew then what I know now, the clams I see today don't seem to be as pretty as the one I lost.

    Help!! Water Values?

Your pH may also rise up some with the proper salinity, if not go with a buffer like Sadie suggested. What size is your heater? If it is too big when it comes on it may heat the water so quickly that by the time it shuts off the carryover raises the temp too high.

My first 12g nano reef, First test results, Need advice

If you still have the fish you may be able to keep ity in another tank or suitable container doing frequent water changes to keep ammonia levels down. This would be less stressful IMO than the fish living in a cycling tank. You can't do this in the cycling tank though because the water changes...

    Purple Up ??

The two part additives like Kents AB, ESVs Bionic, etc. are designed to maintain calcium levels and not to raise them. You need to use a product designed to raise calcium levels or drip kalkwasser to get the level up and then the 2 part additive should maintain the level for you. BTW...

    LR to Water Surface?

The only problem with having the LR so high is that in a reeftank you cannot add corals to the top of the LR or they will be out of water. There is no rule otherwise.

    our sponser AquaBuys

You could set the Eheim to dose whatever to the tank and the JBJ will take care of any additional evaporation. I would make sure that whatever is being dosed went into the sump area so it gets diluted prior to coming into contact with the tanks inhabitants. I don't think the two items can be...
