    New Seahorses

You may take a look around and see if you can find a heater guard so these guys don't try to hitch on the heater at the wrong time. I know Tronic makes one that is not very expensive and works well. You do have a nice pair of seahorses there.

    Small chip on tank

I had a chip on the edge of the glass pictured in my mind. There are two options I would consider and unfortunately leaving it as is isn't one of them. First you could simply replace the tank, left as is I think that at some point the tank will fail. It could always be transformed into a...

    Coral calamity...

From all that I have ever read or experienced with gonis they do better in a slightly dirty tank (not well skimmed, has some organics in it), some friends of mine are having success by feeding the tank their goni is in with Marc Weiss' new Reef Bugs. They have a goni that was receding quite...

    Cannister Filter

When used for mixing water did you put the filter in the bucket or just hang it on the side? I am picturing this with the way I mix water and it doesn't seem like the easiest thing to do.

a little piece of figi - building my dream SPS tank

Go with the silicone, this will give a little cushioning to the tank bottom plus your LR will be able get a better grip so you will have a more stable aquascape. You could even add a few pieces of broken shell for a more natural look, plus grain size won't mean anything like it does in a DSB.
