Well, After posting my pictures and taking a sample rock to my LFS, I purchased joe's juice. They nuked the sample rock I brought in and off I went home with zero aiptasia on the small rock. Once I got home I turned off all powerheads and return line. I removed my glass tops and the...

    Aiptasia need help!!!

Erik, I need you to see a picture of mine. I've had them for almost 6 months and they have all stayed on just this one rock. They are florescent green, not brown at all. They have small tentacles not long ones like the pictures show. They also have a much smaller base, not long like...

    Aiptasia need help!!!

I know there have been numerous postings on fighting this pest. I've never had this guy in my reef, well up until I finally admitted to myself that what is on my rocks has to be aiptasia. I never thought aiptasia could be light green almost like a button polyp. Also, they don't have long...

    Jesse's 20L+20L fuge...

Wow, That's a ton of evaporation in comparison to my 72 bowfront. I get zero evaporation per day and I have only a 3 gallon reservoir that gets filled once every 7 days or so. Ever since I removed part of my glass lid on my sump, I'm seeing a lot of evaporation since I rigged two small...

    Mike's new Pico....

I used the 18 watt coral mini in my pico and the 150 watt in my 6 gallon. My brother now has my 150 watt as he's going to be working on the ultimate 20 gallon reef... I'm using the 18 watt coralife on my 6 gallon as I decided to stay in the nano world and not give up my tank but rather...

    christy's 7.5 nano

Hi Christy, I missed the part that my 6 gallon navigated you towards this tank; they are much clearer than glass tanks. To clean the outside and inside of my truvu I take a soft paper cloth, the ones that are made by hefty, they don't tear in the water nearly as much as the cheaper ones...

    Bad sand......need help

Karen, What is the brand of sand your purchased? Chances are that you purchased live sand which is extremely important to your nitrification process, do not remove it from your tank if you have had it in there for more than one week. Taking it out could cause an ammonia swing to kick in...

Those are nice for moving large volumes of water as current in your main display tank. They however, do no good for me to pull water up as a return... Thanks, MG

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

So far I've been really happy with my tank on the second go around. I have four moonlights instead of the three, I get better coverage of the tank at night, it looks spectacular. Having the use of two Reefkeepers is incredible, I get to use 6 different powerheads on six different wave...

    Mag Drive Pumps???

Erik, A bulk head on the side of my sump would work. However, it's not an option since I would have to take my sump in to a glass shop and have them drill the hole and then I would have to place it back into my cabinet. I would have to drain the tank and disconnect all the hosing to get...
