    JBJ Nano Arctica

You will compromise looks for power with a large chiller plumbed into your system. If this is a center piece it's not going to look nice with all these cables and an open top hence the power of the ICA becomes a better incentive. Just my 2 cents... MG

Eric Borneman's study of various salt brands...

Without reading all this Jargon, Jesse can you quickly tell me if mixing Oceanic with RO/DI water is okay? I've been mixing this brand since I last setup my two reefs. I've always purchased real catalina water in the past. Give me some feedback... Thanks, MG

    6 gallon Tru Vu evolution...

I want to see if I can keep a good group of small gobies all over this cube with button polyps... I'd really like this tank to look like Ed's tank because I really like his variation in colors... Keeping this tank cool is very important both for the types of fish I want and shrooms...

    6 gallon Tru Vu evolution...

Evap is going to be a problem because I don't want to use the ATO on such a small tank, I'm going for the concealment approach on this tank... I'm not a fan of the cords hanging out of everywhere on reef tanks. I like the clean look both on the outside and inside of my reefs... Here are...

    ID help please

It appears to be a sponge, very harmless and in fact a very colorful one if you ask me. They come in yellow, orange and sometimes even blue. They are filter feeders and rely on good currents and nutrients to survive. That's is my best guess... MG

6 Line Wrasse vs. Sexy Shrimp

When I purchased my six line wrasse, I brought home the smallest specimen I have ever seen at a LFS or online... When he made it to my 6 gallon, he hid for at least 1 month, I really never ever saw him. He was always hunting pods and at that time I had plenty. With time I added one large...

Fish for sale - 4/12 line wrasse

Jesse, Go pick him up, they are $40 dollars up here in the Bay Area. In a 20 gallon tank, you have a much lower chance of aggression, especially if you have a good amount of live rock for them to establish territory.... In a 6 gallon cube are you kidden? There is no room for nothing...

September Photo Contest - Vote for the winner

Eddy, Steven has my titanium heater that you talk about... He needed it while I was done there and I gave it to him... I picked it up at a LFS that is no longer in business... I haven't seen them since... You need to ask him what the brand says so you can look it up online... MG

    6 gallon Tru Vu evolution...

In an attempt to keep my 6 gallon cool and without having to drill onto the precious tank I'm testing a fan that I once used on my pico. It's the dual fan Vantec HD cooler designed to cool Hard Drives. It has a built in heat sink and it fits right over the top of my drop in filtration...

    JBJ Nano Arctica

The JBJ nano chiller has to be plumbed correctly for it to cool down your reef. This means that you need to purchase the correct pump to generate the correct contact time the water needs against the coils of the chiller. Too fast will cause your chiller to be on all the time, to slow will...

6 Line Wrasse vs. Sexy Shrimp

Not all six line wrasses eat sexy shrimps. I kept a six line along with a sexy for almost one year in both a 12 gallon cube and a 72 gallon reef with no problems. It depends on how you introduce them, sometimes if the sexy is there prior to the release of the sixline odds are better for the...

    6 gallon Tru Vu evolution...

By popular demand this tank has been resurrected. I decided just to downsize the light and I purchased the black matching canopy. I'm in the process of getting a cooling system placed on this tank; I'm researching the ICA 2.0. Does anyone have any feedback for me? Do I need the uprgraded...
