    Parts Directly From Hagen

I understand now. I guess I am thinking in terms of the companies I have ordered from that actually care about their customers.

    Yasha Goby - Video

Videos like this appear to be a valuable tool in capturing hard to photograph fish. The goby really is defending his burrow from all comers.

    Parts Directly From Hagen

He may be the manager but he still has someone to answer too, I would try to get someone over his head just to let them know about his attitude. I hate to hear that their customer service is like this, I have a Fluval 102 on my freshwater tank. I hope you get your part soon. BTW, why would...

    Hermit Crab Housing

I like idogs suggestion, almost any LFS that has been selling hermits or snails for awhile should have pleny of empty shells and you should be able to get a good assortment of sizes.

    Cleaning Crew

Here is a fair pick of a pair of mine, there is a third one in the bottom left but you can't see all of him.

    Fraggin Frags.

You can use super glue gel underwater but it is harder to handle than when out of water and real easy to glue yourself because of the water trying to float the glue where you don't want it. If you can't remove the rock and are gluing a hard coral then I would go with the epoxy because its less...

    What are these?

The second pic looks like a small piece of macroalgae to me. Either way, sponge or macro, they are both good.

    Cleaning Crew

Bumble bee snails are fine in a tank but they are not cleaners, they are carnivorous and will eat meaty foods that they find but will not eat algaes. I think a couple of them add color to a tank and are great additions.

My first Pico tank! New pics and Progress every week.

As long as heat won't be an issue then IMO thats a good choice, you'll be able to keep almost anything you want with size being yhour main restriction.

    Cycling tank with live rock-Help!

Thats pretty much the point I was trying make with alot more words. All methods are right, its just a matter of preference. BTW, I haven't thought about peeing in my tank. This could have alot to do with the fact that I like my tanks pretty high to make them easier to see in but for...

    Cycling tank with live rock-Help!

It appears that this is going to be one of the areas where we all have different views on what is right. The biggest thing IMO is to note that all of us are entitled to our opinions on thios and we are all correct at least to some extent. It alsol seems that adding more organics to break down...

    Cycling tank with live rock-Help!

Actually most cured LR won't even have sponges because they will have died off already. With some LR the only thing you might have to die off is the bacteria. Granted this is some pretty poor LR but that is all that is available in some parts of the country.

    Cycling tank with live rock-Help!

That is usually but not always the case, it depends on the LR that you have. Some "LR" is sometimes cured to the point that it is basically dead. It doesn't hurt anything to add a little more ammonia (whether direct or indirect as in the addition of something to break down), the worst thing it...

    blue legged hermits

Now that I think about it I have some pellets that were made for feeding hermits. One or two of them a day should be fine. The sanils can eat whatever is leftover and they will also graze on algaes as they grow.

    blue legged hermits

You can take whatever food you want to feed anf rubberband it to a small piece of LR and place it on the bottom where the hermits can get to it, you can also easily remove it if you feed too much.

2006 model 12g nano cube dx

The nano fish guide that Eddy was talking about is a sticky in the "Reef Fish" forum. Here is a link to it: http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2758 . On the lights you can leave them on for a couple of days to be able to see the highest temp your tank reaches and then leave them...

2006 model 12g nano cube dx

:welcome to the board. The '06 model should already have a surface skimmer and upgraded return pump. If you want to automate the lighting with timers you can buy an upgrade kit for under $20 from www.nanotuners.com . As I recall running the lights like John and Dawn suggest isn't an option...
