    buying a new nano tank

What all is available in your area as far as prebuilt tanks go? That will have alot to do with which one is the best for you. You also need to decide which corals you want to keep for sure so you can match the lighting to the corals.

    Shrimp behavior

At the very least he feels vulnerable when out in the front for some reason, one of the fish could be harassing him or there is too much activity in the room so he feels threatened. Keep an eye on the fish and if they are not bothering him it could be that he just needs time to get comfortable...

    Brandon's Nano Cube 12 DX

Looks like your off to a good start, I was going to mention the same thing as Eddy with the space between the rock and glass. If you want to keep the rock closer to the glass there is a guy over on ReefCentral and Nano-Reef that makes these neat little magnet cleaners he calls Nimbles, his name...

Turning him loose in the ocean is not the best thing to do, you don't want to release non native species into the ocean. Releasing non-native species into the ocean is what all of the fuss about caulerpa is about out there in Cali. It would be more responsible to either find someone that wants...

    copper banded butterfly (Chelmon rostratus)

They can be hard to get to eat in captivity and they are picky eaters. Some of them love aiptasias though which is a plus IF they eat them.

    buying a new nano tank

I can't remember on the Finnex so I will just say if it is an acrylic tank it can easily be scratched, if its glass then no worries. I would go for the 150 watt HQI with either tank for a clam, better to have a little extra light than not enough.

12 gallon Nano Cube Refugium w/light...

Small clams do not require MH because they get most of their nutritional needs met through target feeding. Clams less than about 3" don't have enough zoxanthellae in their tissue to make enough food for them from light alone and have to be target fed.

Bearded Dragon and 80 gallon tank... $150

For those of you that live in a place that doesn't allow window AC units they also make a free standing AC unit that looks kind like a big air cleaner that has a hose that you put in the window to exhaust the hot air. We used a couple of these in one of the stations I used to work in before we...

    buying a new nano tank

I see from your other post that you want a tank around 20 gallons and a prebuilt unit. For right now there are 2 main tanks available that fit this category and they are the Aquapod 24 and the 24 gallon Nanocube. Both of them are available with PC lighting which is good for mainly lower light...

    S.O.S .... before i kill it...ID

The claws make me think carnivore so I wouldn't think he is reef safe. You could always donate him to the LFS for feeding to the triggers or something similar if you are going to get rid of him.

Are you interested in prebuilt tanks like Nanocubes, Aquapods, and the like or are you asking about what combination of tank, lighting, filtration, etc. goes together to make a good nano? Also about what size tank are you interested in and what would you like to keep in it? These things...

    RO/DI Here Today! - Lighting

Equalizing the temp isn't as important now since you don't have any livestock in the tank. Just make the water kinda close so you don't cause the bacterial bed damage.

    adding more live rock

Mixing different types of LR is fine and is up to the individual that is aquascaping the tank. You can add alot of interest to a tank by using rock from different areas. You will cause a cycle by adding the LR but the condition of the rock will dictate just how much of a cycle. If the LR is...
