    Another Noob Here! Master Plan...

Top off is to replace fresh water yes. make sure your careful with the RO from your supermarket. for a while I used Nestle Purelife and didn't notice any problems from it. look up www.thefilterguys.biz. I just bought an RO/DI from them and it was the best system with the lowest price I...

    Jesse's 12g AP w/70 watt Sunpod

Hey I was just kidding man. Seriuosly though you probably won't want any of the plugs back. you won't want most of the rocks back either. Like the one with those red mushrooms. It's covered in hair algae. We should plan a day for you to come by and we can cut everything up and get it...

    Algae Burst!

    Another Noob Here! Master Plan...

Well that is definitely one heck of a plan. Everything looks good to me except your C.U.C. It's enormous. I know that a lot of people say a lot of different things, but my CUC isn't even that big in my 60 and I still have to feed extra for them. I personally would cut the astreas down to 4-5...

How to remove the stock pump in a 12 gallon Nano?

It's probably just attached with suction cups. If you're going to throw it away then don't be scared to pull on it by the cord. If you have hopes of salvaging it which you might be able to do with a good cleaning then be gentle. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

    Algae Burst!

hermit crabs and snails I don't think will take care of hair algae. I had 3 hermits and 3-4 snails in my 12 gallon and they kept my rock spotless. 2 Hermits would probably be plenty with a few snails. If it is indeed hair algae then take your rocks out and start scrubbing. I'm starting to...

    makeing coral color brighter

What kind of corals? I use to have a 12 with same lighting. I upgraded to a bigger tank and use T5's now. I'm really happy with my corals color. maybe upgrading your lights will help. Check out the light Reefman23 has on his 12.

    Algae Burst!

    1. What kind of algae is it? Depending on what kind it is you might want to pull the rock out and scrub it. 2. IF it's a FOLWR then you could get a way with leaving the lights off for a couple of days or just shorten the light cycle dramatically. Good Luck.

    Nano Cube 24g

Yes you'll need a heater and you should be able to get one at the same place you bought the tank. there are so many different ways to set up your tank. Go to the do it yoourself forum and look at the modded 12dx sticky. you might get some ideas from that. good luck and :welcome to nanotank.

My Wife is the greatest. She gave me me the perfect gift. 5 stage RO/DI with the Chloramine filter upgrade. I just set it up tonight and I'm so stoked that I don't have to go the my LFS twice a week for water anymore. Not that I hate my LFS. I just don't want to have to go.... you know...

    Jesse's 12g AP w/70 watt Sunpod

They've been remodeling for about two months now. He doesn't have much help and he's bogged down with building people tanks. He does a lot of DIY stuff for people at a decent price. I've never heard of it, but I'll cruise with you. I have all week off. I have to run around and do some work...

    Jesse's 12g AP w/70 watt Sunpod

What happened? I thought you were going to use Kent Marine Salt? Towards the end of the week would be good for us. I need your advice for my future set up too. I'm thinking about just using my 60 for my sump and getting a custom 100 gallon. 48" x 24" x 20" with a center overflow for like...

Where to place new tank... pics

I agree with Jesse how ever I'm right handed so I would put it on the left side. keep the right side open for documents and what not. I wouldn't put it under the monitors for a couple of reasons. Moisture and access. Let us know what you chose. welcome to Nanotank.
