    explosion of copepods and snails

Most likely stomella snails. They are very common to hitchhike on LR, and they multiply like crazy. I've never know turbos to reproduce in a aquarium, but Im sure its quite possible.

Nano-Cube, Bio-Cube or regular rectangular tank?

I love having my regular 10 gallon AGA. The reason is because I have room for add-ons and changes. With a all in one, you are pretty much stuck with what you get (unless you are very handy with mods). If you do go with a all in one, get one that is decked out with high quality, pre-modded stuff...

    Damsels

As I said earlier, it would be me "personally", so boring is just my opinion. I perfer small gobies, firefish, etc. Hawkfish are cool too. But if you want the damsels, something like a Talbots or a Starcki damsel should be less aggressive as the Blue Devil or Domino damsels.

    Damsels

If it were me...personally I woudnt go with Damsels, my reason... aggressive, kinda boring, pain to get out if you want them out, kinda small space for 2, bioload, etc. But whatever floats your boat man! To your question, I havent known any to pick on what you mentioned except maybe the shrimp...

AquaMedic 9 gallon Nano Wave, reviews?

looks neat...with the skimmer and fuge light, but i prefer more open/customizable aquariums like a simple 10 gallon that can have just about anythig added to it.

Coralife 96W fixture and 10 gallon mixed reef

I've got a 2X40 watt Orbit over my ten, less light than the 96w. I chose the orbit because of the independent controls for the 2 lamps. Im keeping LPS and softies. just my .02. If you do go with the 24" coralife, 130 watts is more than enough for LPS & softies...if your brave(and your tank has...

    Skunk cleaner vs. Royal Dottyback

Is it a Royal Gramma or a Bicolor Dottyback/Pseudo. (just to clarify)

    Skunk cleaner vs. Royal Dottyback

Well from what I heard (not from experience) some dottybacks can be quite aggresive, but I would wait until some else chimes in on that. The shrimp may acually be trying to clean the dotty, but I would not be worried about the fish, its the shrimp, im afraid, that would lose if the fish is...
