Good job on the lights with a timer... If you regulate the amount of light your tank gets in the beginning, you will not break away with so much un-wanted algae... Be sure not to add anything else until you get through those weeks, you fish and critters need to acclimate to their new...

Saltboy, Sometimes it's a good idea to run the stock lights and get a feel for the tank and the various critters and corals that will do well in such conditions. Later after you feel the need for higher light intense corals move into mods.

James, T-5 are nice but in my opinion a HQI MH is just spectacular for the shimmering affect. The T-5 doesn't do shimmering but hammer away a color...

Kim, Green star polyps are easy and have a pretty green, you could also try some red mushrooms and of course zoos...
