    Carbon inserts.

Do I need a carbon insert on my AC150? I don't have one right now, just foam filters that I clean weekly. Cora

    My new mushrooms!

How do I tell that my new green mushrooms are happy? They look okay to me, but I want to make sure that they are healthy. I know what to do to keep them that way, but how do I know if they are in a spot that has correct lighting and flow? As well, someone I work with started a 20 gal nano the...

    Crabs

Ohhh! There were ones that were a little hairy, but when I found them in the bottom of our live rock shipment at the pet store last night, I didn't put them in my tank. The ones i did put in were gray, and when I touched them, they made themselves in to a rock. The other ones were small, and...

    Crabs

    So, my tank is ready!

Well... I got a blue damsel, and the two seem to be getting on just fine. The dottyback chases the blue damsel, but the damsel is faster and seems to be able to hold her own. I miss Lenny though. I visited him while I was at work today. When our next salt water order comes in...

    So, my tank is ready!

Uh Oh! Lenny the blenny is going back to the pet store! He is relentlessly chasing the dotty back and beating her up. So, I'm taking him and his rock back! Maybe I'll pick out something else! Cora :)

    So, my tank is ready!

Thanks! Well, they seem to get along okay, but like you said, the Dottyback gets in trouble if she gets too close to his little spot. He won't give chase though. In my 21 gal, how many fish would be too many? Could I get a couple of damsels still? Or will they get their butts kicked by...

    So, my tank is ready!

All my params are zero, and the ph and sg are correct, so yesterday I purchased my first two fish. But I'm just looking for opinions on what I got. If I made a mistake, let me know and I will take the little monkeys back to the store where I work. I got a bi color blenny and a strawberry...

    The Burbon Glass Pico

String I've seen magnetic algea brishes that don't float that have a string attached to save them if you break the magnetic contact.

    Should this be killed?

Thanks! My husband is going to get one from the paramedics at work. Should have thought of that before.

    Should this be killed?

Okay, the little thing must die... Where can I get a syringe? And I do see babies too, so I know it has to go. Thanks for your help everyone! Cora

    Should this be killed?

This thing came free with the live rock in a new tank that is still cycling. Should it stay or should it go now? Won't you please let me know.

    Live rock hitchikers

Hmmm I looked again and maybe it does look like the one Sugar Magnolia posted. Still looking for my camera. Hubby must have stashed it somewhere! Cora

    Live rock hitchikers

I'm on a PC. That would be great, if you could let me know about the freeware. Then I'll go and find my camera. Thanks!

    Live rock hitchikers

Nope. It's got way fewer fronds than that. Like maybe 10. And it's really little and pink. I will try and find my digital camera. Is there a limit on pic size we can post here? My files are so big, and I'm a little clueless on how to shrink em. Cora :)

    Live rock hitchikers

I have a small anemone that came with a piece of my live rock. What do I do to try and preserve this cute little things life during my tank cycling? Is there anything? There are also a couple of feather duster worms too. Cora :)

    Lights off during cycling?

Thanks! Great! Glad to hear I was reading correct info! Cora :D

    Lights off during cycling?

I read somewhere that I should have the lights off while cycling my tank so I don't get undesirable algae growth. What are your opinions on this everybody? Cora
