I spotted two bristleworms in my tank last night!!! Where, oh where, did they come from? Are they gonna hurt my Xenia and Zoos and Polyps?? What do I do??? I know there are traps for them. My LFS has some.

Okay, it's time for fish!! How 'bout this?

Sorry, Erik, I couldn't resist about the micros! ;) I have a 15 gallon (long, not tall) with an AquaClear filter on back with foam only. I just bought a powerhead to add on and an AquaClear protein skimmer that attaches to the HOB filter. I would like to change my filtration set up to...

Okay, it's time for fish!! How 'bout this?

I wondered about the behavior of three. From what I have read in several marine reef aquarium books, the authors have said that one of the three will become larger/dominant and will become the female, and the other two will remain slightly smaller and will be males, but that the three would get...

    moving day

Good luck with your move, Erik. You are obviously well prepared and have given it much thought. I'm sure it will go fine. Your tank is in good hands. Keep us posted and let us know how it goes. I keep thinking I'll buy a bigger house (so I have room for more tanks), but the thought of moving...

Okay, it's time for fish!! How 'bout this?

Okay, it's time to Check With The Experts... My 15 g. nanoreef is stable with good water quality. I want to add fish now. I am planning to add either 2 or 3 juvenile Ocellaris. These will be the only fish in this tank. Is 3 too many? Would 2 be better, either in terms of tank size and/or fish...

    New JBL tanks?

I had a JBJ 6g. nanocube and returned it to the LFS because there was an electrical problem with the lights. The lights are supposed to have three positions: on, off, and moonlight. Mine had on, on, and on. Not good.

    Something for my false perc...

I have some wonderful pulsing Xenia in my reef tank that I wouldn't mind hosting in. :) It's very snuggly looking. I am planning to add a trio of juvenile Oscellaris to my tank and hoping that they'll go for the Xenia. I just love Xenia, and don't want to mess with anenomes. (It goes against...

    fresh planted

Erik, you capitalist! How do you do that? I want to do it, too. :) I did sell my LFS some caulerpa recently. I had an overabundance of red and green. That stuff is expensive!!

I got another freebie Micro Brittle Star tonight!!

I must be getting these little darlings from somewhere, because now there are more than I can count in my tank. At night, after dark, I get out a flashlight and look on my sand bed and those little arms are waving all over the place. I don't know how many I have now, but there are quite a number...

Does anyone know anything about these little clown gobies?

Wow, incysor. That's depressing. I saw several of these last night at a local marine livestock distributor's store. I didn't ask to see them eat. I'll have to go back and have them do that. I like fish that stay smaller and don't need a lot of room. My tank is only 15 gallons.

Does anyone know anything about these little clown gobies?

I have a white-banded cleaner shrimp.... happy little guy. Would he bother a Citron Clown Goby? I doubt it. Other than him, I just have little blue leg hermits and Narc snails.

I got another freebie Micro Brittle Star tonight!!

I went to my LFS and picked up some empty shells for my blue-legged hermits, and guess what!! Another stowaway Micro Brittle Star!! That's two now in just a few days. They must have these Micros all throughout their livestock tanks. Now I have two of them! Woohoo! I think I'll go back and buy...

Does anyone know anything about these little clown gobies?

Sounds like they don't get very big and are good for nano tanks. They are peaceful and reef compatible. They come in yellow, green, and brown, at least. Here's a link to the yellow ones: http://ww.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_ ... pCatId=161

    Information on ordering brittle stars

Congrats! I think you took the last of them, because they are now showing as OUT OF STOCK. :) Be sure and let us know when they arrive and what you think of them. I'd like to get some more, too. They are so cute!!

What do I do with this brittle star hitchhiker?

Omigosh! That's him! That's him! Erik, I looked at the pictures you linked me to, and that's him -- mine looks exactly like the little star on the magnet pad. So, I have a "micro" sea star! How cool! Now I love him (now that I know he won't grow gigantuan and eat all my other critters) :) I...

What do I do with this brittle star hitchhiker?

I got a baby (I mean teeny weeny) pin-head sized baby brittle star that came home with me from the LFS when I bought some empty hermit crab shells for my blue-leg hermits (the brittle must have been hiding in one of the shells). The baby brittle star was so small that I didn't see him again once...

I removed the glass canopy -- wow, what a difference!

Hey, B, is that "octo" tank as in octopus? Do you have one? I've been reading about the bimacs.

    Weird question about water...

Cool! Thanks, guys. Each time I see it, I immediately think I've poured in the wrong thing and I'm going to kill everything. :~
