Thanks, I only have the sponges in the back from what some of the reefers at the lfs told me. I have a testing kit, but I'm waiting about a week until everything is done and all the nitrates and ammonia are down. (They're really really high)... I had bioballs in the back so I removed them...

Well, I'm still learning about saltwater tanks. My original tanks that I posted about (I inherited them from a neighbor) are gone. I really can't stand jbj stuff... so for my birthday, I recieved a new 24 gallon aquapod. I'm still trying to prep it for it's future life. I have a few questions...

The tanks my neighbor gave me, had 2 pieces of LR. Both of which have these white tubes all over the outsides of them. Each one has a red feathery thing sticking out. Just curies if it's a good thing or bad. I cant get a good picture, they're pretty small. Any info would be helpfull thanks.

Holy crap, I have a jbj too, the lights stoped working about 5 hours after my neighbor gave it to me when he moved... the lights shut off, one of the fans conked out too... it's a 24 gallon lol... I'm stillt trying to figure out whats wrong with it.

The problem is I dont know whats wrong, or how to fix it... where would I go to address the problem? Also, it's been like this for about a week... just curious as to how long I can go without lighting? I have the lights on from the 12g which is right next to it... thats giving off a little light.

My former neighbor left me his two nano cube tanks, one is 12g and the other is 24. The 12 is working fine, but the the lighting on the 24g just stoped working about five hours after I restarted it. One of the fans on the hood isn't working either... it's a jbj if that helps :cryinga:

Okay, I figured out what type of clowns they are, they're Maroon Clowns but it says they're a gold striped variety lol. They're a really dark red, almost brown, with obviously golden stripes :mrgreen:. I still cant figure out whats wrong with the lighting... and the fish aren't exactly small lol

36 watt combo bulbs (straight from the jbj website!) one of the fans isn't working either. I was thinking it might be the ballast.

Hi, I just recently "inherited" two salt water tanks, a 12 and 24 gallon. My next door neighbor moved out "quickly" and called me over to tell me that he wants me to have them. Well, it was late and my friend wasn't around to help me move them... so I waited the next day and the guy was gone...
