No i havent called them. This tank is really old and i doubt i would still have warranty on it. Heres a picture of the copper coil i was talking about. the number is 12 on the chart. I think its a magnetic starter. Assuming the copper coils got old and rustic and wont shoot a good start...

Bumpity bump

Hey guys, The light on my 6g Nano wont turn on, i tried replacing the ballast and the bulb and neither would work. The LEDs flicker very lightly when I turn them on and dim immediately. when I plug in the cord into an outlet, the copper coils start making a buzzing noise that wont go away...

So I opened up a burned bulb and the ballast seems to look in tact. i think its just the bulb that broke and the ballast is still in good condition to reuse. I'm going to try tomorrow to solder the ballast into my 6g 18W

Does anyone have a Deep Sand Bed in their Nano6gal? How do I set one up using the existing chambers?

So when a compact bulb goes out (round). Would the ballast still be good to convert it to aquarium lights or does the ballast also go bad?

Maxi sounds cool, The kNano wouldnt be too much though? Is there a way to plumb the main pump to disperse water to the whole aquarium though? I was thinking another pump would be too space consuming for my 6g
