Yes I am useing tap water. No I have not tested for Phosphates. Good idea though! It seems to be slowing down. It's everywhere! Rocks,glass, bottom..I just got a Pygmy Angel that seems to like eating the Algae. I am looking forward to this tank getting me through Winter here.

Ok Thanks! So far most of the Live Rock I have found is Cured. I also read to give it the "sniff" test. If it really reeks. Don't use it. I won't be in any great rush to add livestock. it will be nice to watch during the Winter though! I can pretend I am snorkeling.
