It is a tank raised clown, and I have 2 of them, only one is changing color. Both are young(small). A bit smaller than 1 inch.

The light turned off and I can see my clown fish had this very dark brown 1/2 inch spot around his top fin. I checked all the parameters and all seems fine. Is it normal for clawn to develop such a color change?

I am jsut curious if there is any tricks of trade if you will. FOr example install it closer to the faucet rather than closer to the contaiener. Or install it 12" higher than top of the water container. Things like that.

That is pretty interesting. I myself have 2 heaters at 50W, light on for 12hours, and my temperature get up to 82.4F, then at night it drops to about 80F. I do have an open top, try opening it up.

For my B-day I got a Captive Purity RO/DI unit with the TDS monitor, and Spectra Pure auto shut of for reservoir fill up. I am planning to set it up this weekend, any suggestions/recommendations for setting up RO/DI? IT is even worth to set it up?

Right now there is live rock still curing in it. It will be reef tank with few fish, some inverterbrates, and a cleaning crew. I also have a HOB refugium however at this point there is nothing growing in it yet, it is just skimming a turning over water.
