I heard somewhere that arrow crabs eat bristle worms...? anyone know the truth behind this? :?:

My protein skimmer took about 4-5 days to show any solids. But when it did, it was black and greed gunk. Now it covers the top plastic cover with greenish "protein" in a few hours. I believe this is how to tell if it's doing its job.

it looks like it works similar to the skilter250. I modifyed mine with a limewood airstone and it works great. maybe you can mod yours the same if it isn't working for you. :idea:

After being patient for almost a month, I finally added some livestock. 2 red leg hermit crabs and a tiny borneo or bangai cardinal. Everythings finally in order with the ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites. Maybe next week I will add a mushroom or zoa? more pics to come soon

Thank you so much! The guys at the LFS all just wanted to make a dollar off me and my gf who fell in love with that sea apple. I am going to just do zo's and mushrooms. The electric flame scallop also caught our eye. And advice on those? Also, possibly some cool starfish? Suggestions always...

Does anyone have any advice how to successfully keep a sea apple alive in a 9 gallon? I have a modifyed skilter 250 (limewood airstone). About 20 lbs. of live rock. Also I have easy access to R.O. water for frequent water changes. Any key suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
