~*~ HeLp Me Out PLz! ~*~

:opps Oh my goodness! I should really check my posts! I meant to say " A protien skimmer is NOT needed on a 6g really". Weekly water changes will work just fine. Sorry about the confusion. You made the right choice IMO. :isorry Tim :whist:

    Nano 12 or 24?

You are going to spend more on the 24 but can also have a more interesting range of inhabitants. If you do get a nanocube make sure it's a 2006 model. The 2005's had a habit of busting for no reason. (it has been fixed) HTH

    Light

No problem. I think this debate will go on for a very long time. It just comes down to the individual on how they feel about animals. Sadielynn obviously loves animals very much (as do I) and considers her hobby more of a responsibility to care for an animal that can no longer care for...

    newb in need of info

I've heard great things about the aquapods. They took alot of feedback from the '05 Nanocube owners and made a very nice product (if a little more pricey). This has a little info on them: http://www.seatechaquariums.com/Product ... 4,0138.htm

    Prep questions for a 10g with a 10g sump.

I think I'll give the Hagen products a try. I heard great things about the Salifert tests, but I like the idea of the multiple tests together (silly I know but It's the truth) plus I could use the Iron test in my freshwater tank. I should have pictures of the equipment I have right now at...

OH ok, I'm a newbie too. Was a little thrown off by the live fish. I've heard dead shrimp or urine will work too. Whatever works, right? :loon:

I found this searching for a comprehensive test kit, anyone use these? I don't mind paying for test kits, I just would like to get the tests I will use often and not have too many dangerous chemicals in the house (baby on the way It's a boy!!!). http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem. ...

    Oh Boy....My Winter project...

Aren't zoos poisonous? Like as in one of the more powerful neurotoxins that has no anti-toxin? Sorry for the odd post but great looking tanks, kinda makes me want to make a custom tank of less than normal dimensions. Tim Schmidt

formula to calulate how many gallons

Just remember to take into consideration that you should measure the INSIDE of the tank, otherwise you will get a number that is a couple gallons off. Not too serious but if you are medicating a tank you will definitely want to know how much water is really in your tank, not how much glass and...

    Pic if it works!!

Very nice looking! Why did you choose the nano cube instead one of the other nano sets like the aquapod?

    Prep questions for a 10g with a 10g sump.

That NURCE seems to be perfect! I will have more than enough room for one in my stand. The only problem is I couldn't find one for sale. Any clues on where to look? Ebay is out and an internet search came up dry. Otherwise I guess I'll do the float switch ATO, seems to be a bit more stable...

    Prep questions for a 10g with a 10g sump.

Thanks for the info on the cleaning crew! How about cleaning the tank? Do you siphon LS? I am having a hard time finding a stand I like so I'm going to see if I can get one custom built. (I don't have the tools needed otherwise I would do it) You all have been very helpful, thank you...

Wow thanks EDGRAY! That site is super newbie friendly. And I found the blenny I was talking about. It is called the lawnmower blenny, however I don't think I'll put him in. Instead I found two fish I like. Any comments on compatibility would be appreciated. The Firefish and the Red Sea...
