    Acrylic or Glass?

I've always used glass but in this day and age, I guess I wouldn't be against trying an acrylic tank out just for fun. Good pros and cons davenia7. You've got me thinking.

    Water changes...........

I usually keep at least 5 gallons of premixed saltwater in a 5 gal bucket in a cold dark storage area. I give a good shake every once in awhile. Its nice to have it ready for quick water changes. I've kept water in it for a month before with no ill effects. Any longer might be risky though.

    Nano 12g filter

Yeah, I change the ones in my 6g cube about once every 1-2 wks. Also, blow out the other chambers with a turkey baster to really clean house.

Galaxia A problem???? Bubble corral seem like it is dying

I housed a nice 3" round galaxy in my 20 gal for about 2 yrs and it did fine. Just be smart with your placement and keep an eye on it. Yeah, like J&D said 6 inches or maybe a tad more would be good clearance.

    help with setup

Jesse, my first nano was a 20g high and I loved it. Still probably my favorite tank I've ever run. Good choice to go with the live rock. The idea in all my tanks is to replicate the natural environment as much as I can to ensure the proper health and biodiversity of all its inhabitants...

    Help! Pump Problems :(

Firstly, if it were me, I don't think I'd use the filter floss or the ceramic media but that is a different topic for another time. To answer your original question, my powerheads/pumps/filters sometimes get grit, sand, dirt blocking the impeller. With this being your first time filling it...

I'm working with some sponsors to try to get something going as we speak. I will let everyone know when we've got something lined up. It should be pretty soon.

    Live Rock, Sludge and Worms?

Its all just a natural process of the cycle in a new tank. I'd just let nature and evolution run its course here until you think the cycle is over. Then start testing every few days with your test kits (I hope you have some, Salifert is the best). Eventually, you'll want all the clear/red...

    OPINIONS NEEDED

I'd stay away from a serpent stars. They just grow too big for a nano not to mention they will knock stuff over and definitely eat any fish in your tank. I had one in my 20 gal that was an absolute monster!

    "New" chiller

Wow. Nice find. A chiller would have probably saved my cube when my AC went out this summer one weekend. Coming home to that really sucked. :???:
