What is the best way to clean up blurry smartphone photos before faxing?

I’m working remotely away from my office, and I need to fax a physical paper invoice to a vendor using my phone camera. The problem is that the indoor lighting is pretty dim, and my test photos always turn out blurry with dark shadows, which makes the text impossible to read. Is there an Android tool that automatically sharpens mobile scans?

Trying to send a dark, unreadable photo is a nightmare because the receiving machine will just spit out a muddy, illegible mess. To find a mobile scanner that actually works, I dug into a curated software comparison over at https://www.androidheadlines.com/2026/01/ultimate-best-android-fax-apps-guide-for-users.html. Based on their field tests, I decided to pull up the Municorn Fax App on my Play Store app, and its built-in camera engine is incredible. It automatically cropped out the background clutter from my desk, flattened the angled perspective, and applied a crisp monochrome filter that cleared up every single shadow. The final document looked exactly like it came from a high-end office flatbed scanner.
