    150W MH

T No over kill at all! Just acclimate your corals to the lighting. So start at the highest peak and and ever three day or so just keep lowering it gradually. I had a 250 watt halide on a frag tank that was only 8 inch deep, the light was 6 inches away from the water surface and everything...

    Aiptasia

Cheap and easy way is to use kalkwasser and make a water paste just like joe's juice. Works 100% as long as you can slowly fill their mouth full of the paste! Same as joe's juice but alot cheaper!

    Moving to Eureka

There is a fish store up there and it has a sweet setup. The only thing is most of the corals are common. Plus, they drive all the way down to the suppliers here in the bay area. So they get supplied with what every fish store receives, besides the ones that are close to the supplier and get to...

Is it small? If it is I had 5 baby coral banded shrimp exactly like that and when they matured they colored up.

All-in-one tank or build my own?

If you want a really nice looking tank with your hard wood floors and a 50 inch plasma, a all in one is great! Its simplistic and has style to it! I'd recommed the 28g jbj since its has a HQI and the wave maker, just change the skimmer and your pretty much set. But it cost a pretty penny! If...

    Anenome or paly or whatever....

Okay, this coral has been making me wonder what the hell it is. To me it looks like a small duncan but it doesn't have the structure of a duncan. So begins everyone's opnion on what it is? Here's some info. Quarter size and directly on the rock (so is it a small anenome).

    Ballast covered with saltwater!!!!

Jesse, So these would work even though my lighting is a 250 watt HQI? I understand the wattage is at 250 but just what you recommeded gives me the impression that HQI or metal halide bulbs does make a diffrence? Thanks for the fast reply. Sorry to hear about your camera too!

    Ballast covered with saltwater!!!!

I just got a 24 gallon NC and a odyssea 250 watt hqi fixture. I'm currently cycling the tank the last 2 weeks. After coming home the power head seamed to have came off of the nozzle that directs the current into the tank. So water was being shot upwards out of the tank. I took off the lid since...
