hi mike...I think the ice probe is super efficient. if you wanted to add it to your nano cube i guess you would have to drill a hole through the glass...I will tell you that my ice is just about silent.. no kidding!..its that quiet!. the only way the fan would stay on continously, would be if...

yes there is a slight heat problem , only in the summer time..i live on the third floor of a house, and with the heat rising, the tank will get close to 83 degrees...I also run a 150w HQI DE MH fixture 10" over the tank, which also creates a slight heat problem..with this HOB chiller, the temp...

the chiller was designed to either be installed threw a hole drilled in the glass, or dropping it threw the top of a HOB refugium, or power filter...
