New 2.5g tank update

ok well i made the tank and it is 2.5g and basically i don't have a thing for it except for the substrate. Well i went on line and bought a whole crap load of stuff to get this thing started and i am stumped abought the lighting. My tank dementions are 13"L 7"W 9.5'H the lighting is one 9 watt 03 actinic blue and one 9 watt 10,000k daylight wich gives me 18w of compact flouresent lighting. It is going to provide twice the amount of light and would fit the tank a bit better.

well see the only thing about that is that it won't fit my tank due to my hang on filter. i would have to build a canopy or legs for it. oh by the way, would this type of light be ok if i put it into a canopy? or would it produce too much heat?

You could put it in a canopy but you will want some fans built into the canopy to get the heat out of there.

yea true it looks like a good deal and the lighting is probably better for my tank, i will ponder on it and get back wit you. well the only thing is the cost and i can't really afford it right now, but i will think on it.

ok Well this week for me was awsome. i got all of the stuff that i needed and i set everything up. i got a really nice piece of live rock at petco for a good price

ok Well evedently i suck at building tanks because it broke. well look at the bright side i would have rather it broke now than later. so i went to petco and bought a bigger 5.5g and i switched everything to it.

im going to get more live rock and stuff next week when i get paid. And my light will come in too sometime this week. I am also glad that i have a little bit more space to work with.
ok well i seem to have picked up some hitch hikers when i bought the live rock. But can someone tell me about this star fish and how big its going to get and if it will be harmfull to my reef.
