AC 70 Fuge For A Pico

I had a 2.5g pico running a long time ago and really enjoyed the tank. I would like to set up another pico, either a 2.5g AGA or a 3g Picotope. It will have 3-4 Sexy Shrimp as the main inhabitants if the local fish store can order them for me. My old pico had a AC 20 with some carbon however for this time around I would like to possibly turn a AC 70 into a fuge. My only concern is that the filter will produce too much flow for this size tank. I know of a few things to do which will reduce the flow such as adding a baffle, filter media will help, and replacing the impeller in the AC 70 with a impeller from a AC 20. I just want to run a thin layer of sand, LR rubble, and some Chaeto.

I was wondering what everyone's opinion is regarding the use of a AC 70 fuge on this small of a tank. Also anyone who has done this personally I would love to hear your experiences.

Well any help you can offer me would be appreciated. :)

I also use the AC70 on my Azoo 2.5 mirror back bow front.
Once I added the AC surface skimmer (had to cut it down to fit) the AC70 impeller worked great and the fuge and cheata (with submersable light) are doing great!
