    35 gallon lighting

The lights are indeed one of the most important items for corals. I mean if they live off the food they make from the light we give them we should probably try to get something that is quality. I'm not saying go get icecap ballasts and spend 5,000.00 on lights but maybe something that is brand...

    Digital Specific Gravity/Salinity Meter

I hope I don't get kicked off this site for this but. Here is a link I found for your 100.00 + item. Can I please have a better picture of the box? If I'm going to buy the item I want to research who makes it. http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages/mo ... ty&cid=880

    lets get this party started...

I agree, the timer will be the best purchase you can make. I assume you don't go in on the weekends and turn on and off the lights? The only other item I would suggest is some sort of gravity fed auto top off. A "glug jug" works rather nice and is similiar in function as a water cooler. If...

    Picture Frame 20's!

Yes I love the idea. I'm not sure how the black and red will look. It really all depends if you want it to stick out in your house. I personally like dark green colors but not sure how that would look. Oh well go with hunter green! :-)

    uk reefer needs help

I'm sure there is an equivlant to 1"x2' lumber in your area. I'm guessing 2.5 cm by 5 cm would be quite nice for maybe an open style canopy that you could hang the pendant from.

    HOB or sump ???

It is ok, you just have to weigh the options. Do you want everything that is involved with a sump (overflows either HOB or drilled, plumbing extra pumps mean more heat, extra maintnance, larger fish tank as a whole, extra water volume). I've noticed that the smaller (10g and under) work just...

    Converted AC500 to Refugiums

Couldn't you just shave down the fins on the impeller a little bit at a time until you go the flow you wanted? I think I've seen the AC500 pretty cheap on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Hagen-AquaClear-Aqu ... dZViewItem

Idea for making a Overflow out of a HOB filter shell

Sounds a bit like the acryllic siphon overflow. I imagine it could work if you make sure to seal the intake tube on the HOB. Matching the gravity with a powerhead might be a bit challenging though. Good luck and I would like to know if this works out for you. (My personal opinion is that it...

    Upgrade for My 6g Nano?

If you want. Sure, you can still get a sun coral with the light you have, just remember to feed it.

    pH problem

If you don't have any live stock I would take out the rock and rub it off and rinse it off, you will probably have another cycle but it seems like the water parameters are bit off anyways. From everything I've found dosing calcium WILL make the water more acidic and should be added very slowly...
