    Which Tank 6-12 ? Where

Ok, well sorry from your email I took it that you where new to hobby and I personally do not like any of the "all in one" kits. I was going to suggest just getting a ten gallon and making it the way you want to house the coral you would like to see at your office. Won't make that mistake...

Taking on a bigger project.... Please give ideas.

Maybe I can chime in here. For drainage holes if you drill them in the back of the tank then where ever the hole is, is where the water level will be. If you drill the bottom of the tank in the back corners you can do a durso stand pipe (see link at bottom). I think Jesse is doubling the...

    Which Tank 6-12 ? Where

You should really take a minute and ask yourself what you would like to keep in the tank and then we could help you a bit more. Mainly because if you only want fish then you can have about 2 fish in the 12 gallon and not have any problems with heat (you won't need huge heat producing lights)...

    Changing tanks

Intead of one large heater you could use one smaller heater with the ten and then simply add another heater to make up the wattage. I would recommend keeping the 10g to use as a sump for your 30g and place all your equipment in the 10g. You don't have to have alot of chambers and such in your...

New Idea would like some seasoned input

It sounds very feasable. Seems to me it's just another variation of putting a false wall in a larger tank. I would make sure to silicon those two together very well and make absolutely sure the surface you will be placing them is strong and level so as to not seperate the tanks later on.

    Outdoor tanks??

for the inground saltwater tank if you could get a tube to go say 5 or so feet underground and have it pumped through there you could use geothermics to help keep the temperature stable. I saw a discovery channel show where they do something similiar for a water powered heater/cooler for a...
